Rome, 22 August (LaPresse) – This morning, at around 5.30 a.m., improved weather conditions allowed for a rapid helicopter rescue operation and the recovery of two German climbers stranded on the Breithorn twins, on Monte Rosa in the Aosta Valley. The two were taken by the Alpine Rescue Service to the emergency room of the hospital in Aosta for diagnostic tests. Their condition is generally good. The two, stranded due to a technical problem that prevented them from continuing safely, could not be rescued by helicopter yesterday afternoon by the Valdostano Alpine Rescue Service due to adverse weather conditions.
