Rome, 22 August (LaPresse) – Rome police have arrested two people, members of the Roma ultras group “Gruppo Quadraro”, accused of running a drug dealing spot in the Curva Sud of the Olympic Stadium. According to investigations, the drug market was active during A.S. Roma home games, during which the group supplied cocaine to customers who flocked to the stadium to watch football matches and took advantage of the pushers to buy doses of drugs. The current measure is a follow-up to the operation that had already involved the ultras group last April when the Mobile Squad and the Digos of the Rome Police Headquarters executed a preventive custody order issued by the Court of Rome at the request of the Capitoline Anti-Mafia Directorate, which was investigating six other members of the organised fan group in the Curva Sud of the Olympic Stadium, also part of the Quadraro Group, who are also accused of selling cocaine in the toilets of the Olympic Stadium.
