Naples, 24 August (LaPresse) – ‘We have learned from the news agencies of the positive news of the release of some Italian-Venezuelan prisoners. We can only imagine the happiness of the families in being able to finally embrace their loved ones who have been freed. It is a happiness that we would like to share too.’ These are the words of Alberto Trentini's family through their lawyer, Alessandra Ballerini. ‘Alberto has been in prison for over nine months,’ his family said, ‘and no one has been able to visit him yet. We demand that our government finally make concrete efforts to bring Alberto home. Every additional day of detention and waiting causes intolerable suffering. We trust in the urgent action of the Foreign Ministry and the special envoy. Freeing Alberto must become a priority for those who have the power to bring him home.’
