Milan, 25 August (LaPresse) – The Data Protection Authority and Google have blocked content published on Falsissimo's social media channels relating to Raoul Bova's private conversations. This was reported by Affaritaliani.it in an article by Gabriele Parpiglia. There is also a first suspect being investigated by the Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of extortion. Following reports and complaints made by lawyers Annamaria Bernardini de Pace and Violante Di Falco in defence of their client, together with the lawyers of Google, which manages the YouTube platform, the removal of the content disseminated by Fabrizio Corona was ordered. The Authority has in fact ascertained the unlawful dissemination of sensitive data and material damaging to Bova's image and reputation, in clear violation of privacy legislation. The Garante's measure led to the removal of the content and the suspension of the offending channels, effectively preventing the defamatory campaign from continuing. ‘This is not only a personal victory, but also a victory of principle,’ emphasises lawyer Bernardini de Pace, ‘because it reaffirms the right to privacy, dignity and truth in an age when social media is used to destroy people's reputations.’
