Rome, 1 September (LaPresse) – "Due to dangerous weather conditions, we carried out a sea trial and then returned to port to wait out the storm. This delayed our departure to avoid taking risks with the smaller boats. Facing winds exceeding 30 knots and the unpredictable nature of the Mediterranean, we made this decision to prioritise the safety and well-being of all participants and to protect the success of our mission." This is according to a statement released by the Global Sumud Flotilla.
