Rome, 3 September. (LaPresse) – The Rome Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into sexist websites that disseminate intimate and non-intimate images without consent on a Facebook group called “Mia Moglie” (My Wife). According to reports from some victims, photographs of women were shared without authorisation, often accompanied by vulgar and sexist comments from users. The investigation is being conducted by the Postal Police, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rome, Giuseppe Cascini. In addition to the crime of revenge porn, the investigators are also looking into the possibility of extortion. In recent days, the police had interviewed the administrator of the platforms to which the platforms belong.
