Vatican, 5 September. (LaPresse) – ‘The Borgo Laudato Si' is a seed of hope that Pope Francis has left us as a legacy, a “seed that can bear fruits of justice and peace”. And it will do so by remaining faithful to its mandate: to be a tangible model of thought, structure and action, capable of promoting ecological conversion through education and catechesis.’ Thus Pope Leo XIV inaugurated the Borgo Laudato Si' in the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo. "What we see today is a synthesis of extraordinary beauty, where spirituality, nature, history, art, work and technology intend to coexist in harmony. This is ultimately the idea of the “village”, a place of closeness and convivial proximity,‘ said the Pontiff, recalling that the village ’is one of the Church's initiatives aimed at realising this “vocation to be custodians of God's work”: a demanding but beautiful and fascinating task, which is a primary aspect of the Christian experience."
