Milan, 14 September (LaPresse) – ‘On the occasion of your birthday, your entire diocese joins you in gratitude to the Father for the gift of life.’ These are the words of Cardinal Baldassarre Reina, Vicar for the Diocese of Rome, on the occasion of Pope Leo XIV's birthday. In his message to Prevost, who turns 70 today, Reina adds: ‘Please accept our prayers and affection for all that you do every day, with tireless dedication, in the service of the universal Church, beginning with the Church of Rome. While we share your concerns, especially for the many scenarios of war that are bloodying the world, we wish you to be able to fulfil your heart's desires and to continue to sow hope for the men and women of our time.’
