(LaPresse) – "Let us remain faithful to evangelical poverty and ensure that it becomes a criterion for living all that we are and have, including the means and structures, at the service of our apostolic mission". Thus Pope Leo XIV to the Augustinians of the general chapter of the order. The Pope then highlighted that reason is not enough to reach God: "In knowing God it is never possible to reach Him with our reason alone and with a series of theoretical information, but it is first of all a question of being amazed by his greatness, of questioning ourselves and the meaning of the things that happen to trace the footsteps of the Creator, and above all of loving him and making him love".
