Milan, Oct. 16 (LaPresse) – "Andrea called me and dismissed me, I wanted to continue but obviously he has other ideas and I can only take note of that, of course I’m sorry but life goes on, it seems this whole storm made him think I’m no longer suitable to defend him." This was said by Massimo Lovati, former lawyer of Andrea Sempio, in an interview with 'Corriere della Sera'. Sempio "talks about a lack of sharing the defense line but hasn’t explained about what, so I think it’s because of my TV statements," Lovati continued, adding "Technically I made no mistakes, maybe I pay the price of appearing too cocky and carefree, but I’m like this and it’s hard to change." He doesn’t blame himself: "Friends tell me to be more cautious." Lovati said this is a blot on his career, "I said it but it’s a small blot, when a lawyer is revoked it’s not nice." He doesn’t know if prosecutors might summon him too because of his statements: "I don’t know, if that happens they’ll have to tell me what they want to know first, some things are protected by professional secrecy." For example about what he said on prosecutor Venditti: "Look, I’ve been going to horse races since I was 15, I said and confirm I saw him once or twice in 2010, but races are like a stadium game."
