Milan, 22 October (LaPresse) – Andrea Sempio's parking receipt is worth “very little” 'at best' and “from the prosecution's point of view”. This is according to Liborio Cataliotti, the new lawyer representing the 37-year-old from Voghera who is under investigation for the Garlasco murder. The defence lawyer joins his colleague Angela Taccia in arguing that Sempio's defence will only comment on ‘court proceedings’ and not on media speculation, but he points out that for ‘the Court of Cassation’ even ‘a missing alibi is only circumstantial evidence and not proof’. Meanwhile, Cataliotti concludes, it is inappropriate to call it an alibi, because it was presented on 4 October 2008, when “Andrea Sempio was not even under investigation”.
