Rome, 23 October (LaPresse) – "Following the terrorist attack perpetrated by Hamas against defenceless Israelis and Israel's excessive response, the dynamics of the dramatic international situation are effectively affecting internal security. In this context, the freedom to demonstrate, linked to the mobilisation of solidarity with the Palestinian people, has on more than one occasion been exploited by groups that have carried out acts of pure and indiscriminate vandalism and violent assaults against the police." This was the response of Home Secretary Matteo Piantedosi during Question Time in the Senate.
