Brescia, Oct. 28 (LaPresse) – There has been an arrest in the murder of Dolores Dori, the 44-year-old woman of Sinti origin who died on the evening of October 2 after being left outside Desenzano del Garda Hospital (Brescia) with gunshot wounds that caused her death. The suspect is Roberto Held, a 50-year-old Italian citizen, believed to be responsible for the murder. Carabinieri from the investigative unit and the Desenzano del Garda company carried out an arrest warrant issued by the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office. The man, who was being sought by the Carabinieri, voluntarily presented himself at the Brescia provincial headquarters and was subsequently taken to Nerio Fischione prison. According to investigations, Dolores Dori’s death appears to be linked to a feud between Sinti families, related to the marriage that was to take place between the woman’s daughter and Roberto Held’s son. Dolores Dori, her mother, and her son had traveled from the Venice nomad camp where they lived to the Lonato del Garda camp on Via Ferrarini, entering in reverse and breaking through the gate. A shooting then occurred, which resulted in the woman’s death.
