Rome, Nov. 3 (LaPresse) – A worker remains trapped under the rubble following the collapse of the Torre dei Conti at the Imperial Forums in Rome. Firefighters have already rescued three people from the debris. The most seriously injured, a 64-year-old worker, was taken to San Giovanni Hospital in critical condition, while two others, with minor injuries, refused hospital transport. The tower suffered a further collapse. While firefighters were trying to rescue the person trapped under the rubble, the remaining standing section of the column suddenly gave way, marked by falling stones. A huge cloud of dust now covers the entire area. Firefighters managed to exit through a window just in time, and authorities are now trying to determine what happened.
