Milan, Dec. 6 (LaPresse) – The Trapani Prosecutor’s Office has requested a 10-year sentence for Antonino Pizzolato, Olympic podium weightlifter in Tokyo and Paris, accused together with three other individuals of sexual assault against a Finnish tourist in July 2022. The Prosecutor’s Office has requested the same sentence for the other three: Davide Lupo, Claudio Tutino, and Stefano Mongiovì. This was reported by Giornale di Sicilia and La Sicilia. According to the accusation, in July 2022 the four defendants and the tourist, who was accompanied by two friends, met in a restaurant and later went dancing at a beach club. Afterwards, the young woman allegedly went to the residence where one of the four was staying and there was forced to engage in non-consensual sexual acts. The assault suffered in the summer of 2022 in Trapani by the Finnish tourist was, according to the public prosecution, “a proven gang sexual assault.”
