Rome, 25 Dec. (LaPresse) – The 2025 Jubilee is coming to an end. This afternoon, the Holy Door of the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, where the body of Pope Bergoglio rests, will be closed. Cardinal Archpriest Rolandas Makrickas will preside over the ceremony and Mass. On 27 December, at 11 a.m., the Holy Door of the Basilica of St. John Lateran will be closed. The ceremony and Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by Cardinal Vicar Baldo Reina and animated by the diocesan choir, directed by Monsignor Marco Frisina. On 28 December, at 10 a.m., the Holy Door of the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls will be closed, with celebrations presided over by Cardinal Archpriest James Michael Harvey. The last Holy Door to be closed will be that of the Basilica of St. Peter. Pope Leo XIV will preside over the ceremony on the morning of 6 January. The closing of the Holy Door of the Rebibbia prison, strongly desired by Pope Francis, was celebrated by Cardinal Vicar Baldo Reina on 21 December.
