Milan, Jan. 5 (LaPresse) – The C-130 aircraft carrying the bodies of five of the six Italians who died in the Crans-Montana tragedy has landed at Milan Linate airport. Present at the airport were Senate President Ignazio La Russa, Undersecretary Alberto Barachini, the presidents of Lombardy (Attilio Fontana), Liguria (Marco Bucci), and Emilia Romagna (Michele De Pascale), and the head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabio Ciciliano. After arrival, the bodies will be transferred by road to Milan, Bologna, and Genoa. The C-130 will then continue to Rome, arriving at Ciampino Military Airport around 3:30 p.m., where Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Sports Minister Andrea Abodi will be present. There were moments of deep emotion on the runway at Milan Linate as the C-130 arrived from Sion carrying the bodies of five of the six Italian victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy. Four of the bodies will now be transported by road to their respective home cities: Chiara Costanzo and Achille Barosi to Milan, Giovanni Tamburi to Bologna, and Emanuele Galeppini to Genoa. Also present at Linate were the presidents of the Lombardy, Liguria, and Emilia Romagna regions. The C-130 will continue its flight to Rome Ciampino Airport in the afternoon to transport the body of Riccardo Minghetti.
