Milan, Jan. 6 (LaPresse) – Jelenik Marin, the 36-year-old wanted for the murder of Alessandro Ambrosio, the 34-year-old train conductor killed yesterday with a stabbing in the parking lot of Bologna station, was arrested in Desenzano del Garda, in the province of Brescia. LaPresse learned this from qualified sources.

Checks are ongoing by the Brescia police to verify the man’s identity, as the 36-year-old was without documents. He had been wanted since yesterday evening following the discovery of Ambrosio’s body by a colleague. The search was immediately extended beyond Emilia-Romagna. Late yesterday evening, he was spotted at Milan Central Station, having arrived on a regional train. The 36-year-old had been made to get off another train in Fiorenzuola, in the province of Piacenza, identified, and then released because the alert regarding his search as a possible suspect in the murder had not yet been issued.
