Rome, 2 February (LaPresse) – ‘Francis Kaufmann is not fit to stand trial and I therefore request that his capacity to stand trial be assessed.’ These were the words of Paolo Foti, lawyer for the man accused of murdering his partner and daughter, who were found dead last June in Villa Pamphili park in Rome, in the courtroom before the judges of the First Assize Court of Rome. All civil parties, including the families of the two victims and various associations, have been admitted to the trial. The next hearing is scheduled for 9 February, when the forensic doctors and the forensic police will be heard.
