Rome, 16 February (LaPresse) – An assessment of the medical records of the Italian victims is the next step in the Rome Public Prosecutor's investigation into the Crans-Montana tragedy. The Rome Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered a comprehensive forensic examination to analyse medical records, reports on the causes of death and the nature of the injuries sustained by the survivors. The case, opened in Piazzale Clodio and coordinated by prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi with assistant prosecutor Giovanni Conzo and deputy prosecutor Stefano Opilio, hypothesises the crimes of negligent disaster, multiple negligent homicide, arson and grievous bodily harm aggravated by the violation of accident prevention regulations. The aim is to accurately reconstruct the impact of the fire that broke out at Le Constellation on New Year's Eve, where 41 young people lost their lives and another 115 were injured. At the same time, the Mobile Squad is continuing to interview survivors. In recent days, the mobile phones of Italian victims and injured persons have also been seized as evidence, in order to check for any images or videos that may be useful in reconstructing the dynamics of the tragedy. A meeting is also planned in Switzerland with local magistrates to take stock of the situation and coordinate the investigation.
