Rome, Feb 16 (LaPresse) – Drones to monitor sensitive areas, strengthening of surveillance systems including the use of artificial intelligence, joint FS Security–law enforcement patrols, and extension of fences along the most important infrastructures and the high-speed rail network. These are some of the measures analyzed, following recent acts of damage, by the National Committee for Public Order and Security. The meeting, chaired at the Interior Ministry by Minister Matteo Piantedosi, was attended by the heads of the police forces, intelligence services, and Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane. The committee also decided on increased controls on trains and across the entire network, along with the enhancement of the 'Safe Stations' program at major railway hubs and in the most frequented areas.
