Milan, 27 February (LaPresse) – The driver of tram 9, which derailed in Viale Vittorio Veneto shortly after 4 p.m. today, reportedly told investigators from the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office, led by Marcello Viola, that he had felt unwell while driving. His version of events is being assessed by the prosecutor's office, which has opened a manslaughter case in the investigation led by public prosecutor Elisa Calanducci. The driver's mobile phone has been seized.
