Milan, 1 March (LaPresse) – Sofia Goggia finally triumphs. The champion from Bergamo wins the second Super-G in Soldeu, Andorra, valid for the Alpine Ski World Cup. With a time of 1'25‘95, Goggia finishes ahead of Germany's Emma Aicher by +0.24’ and Norway's Kajsa Vickhoff Lie by +0.31". Fifth place went to fellow Italian Laura Pirovano at +0.77‘, while Federica Brignone is currently eighth at 1’43. This is Goggia's 28th World Cup victory, consolidating her lead in the discipline's Cup standings. Elena Curtoni finished 15th, 2.15 seconds behind, while Asja Zenere, 24th at 2.74 seconds, and Nicol Delago, 27th at 2.80 seconds, also finished in the points. Sara Allemand (+3.10), Sara Thaler (+3.25) and Nadia Delago (+3.32) slipped beyond thirtieth place; Roberta Melesi did not complete the race due to a fall, without consequences. Goggia consolidates her red bib and climbs to 420 points in the discipline standings, extending her lead over Robinson (336) to 84 points, with Aicher third on 304. One hundred points allow Goggia to strengthen her fourth place in the overall standings (786 points), with Shiffrin remaining at 1133 ahead of Rast (963) and Aicher (914). The competition returns on Friday in Val di Fassa, Trentino: two downhill races and a super-G are scheduled at Passo San Pellegrino, preceded by two days of training on Wednesday and Thursday.
