Rome, 10 March (LaPresse) – "In recent weeks, we have decided never to respond to the attacks we have received on several occasions from politicians, even those of the highest profile. The appeal to tone down the rhetoric, which was addressed to all parties involved by the highest office of the state, was, and is even more so today, absolutely appropriate. Therefore, even though the tone and arguments against the Italian judiciary have now reached a level that is unacceptable to those who hope for respectful cooperation between our country's institutions, we will continue to maintain our position unchanged." Thus stated the Central Executive Committee of the National Magistrates Association.
