Rome, 10 March (LaPresse) – “61,370” women turned to Cav, Anti-Violence Centres, in 2024. This was revealed in a report by Istat and the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The report notes that the average is “169 women per Cav, with higher values in the North-West (241) and North-East (238) and lower values in the South (72)”. Another finding in the report: “39.7% of women (approximately 14,450) reported having suffered economic violence, such as being unable to use their own income or know how much money was available to the family; in other cases, women were excluded from decisions on how to manage the family's money”.
