Rome, May 26 (LaPresse) – In a statement, Keshet Italia, the Italian Jewish LGBTQIA+ association, said that "Rome Pride has dropped the mask" and, "with an unprecedented act of exclusion", first "denied access to the coordination" and then "even the possibility of marching with its own float" to the association. "Our fault? – the statement reads – Being Jewish". "We do not accept lessons on rights from those who apply dynamics of identity-based exclusion – writes Keshet Italia -. Antisemitism disguised as a political stance remains antisemitism". In the statement, the association calls for a "clear position" from Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and the Municipality of Rome. "The health of democracies can be seen in how minorities are treated – they conclude -. One cannot be complicit in discrimination and march alongside those who drive out a minority".
