Rome, Jan. 16 (LaPresse) – "We reaffirm our deep concern over a constitutional reform that jeopardizes the autonomy and independence of the judiciary. It is a misguided reform that does not improve the justice system in any way but solely targets the judiciary and removes guarantees for all Italian citizens. The separation of careers isolates public prosecutors and undermines their role as guarantors. While fully respecting the choices of the legislature, we wish to once again sound the alarm about the risks this reform will bring." This is what the National Magistrates Association stated in a press release.
