Rome, January 25 (LaPresse) – The Almasri case? "We are not talking about a human trafficker." This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni before visiting the training ship Amerigo Vespucci in Jeddah. "Almasri was released by order of the Rome Court of Appeal, not by decision of the Government. It was not the Government's choice. What the Government chooses to do, however, when faced with an individual dangerous to our security, is to expel them immediately from national territory," continued the Prime Minister. "Regarding the plane, I would point out that this is not a new procedure. In all cases of repatriating dangerous detainees, commercial flights are not used, also for the safety of passengers. It is a well-established practice, not invented by this Government, and has also been used by previous Governments," she added.
