Milan, March 30 (LaPresse) – "The party of weapons? That’s nonsense. Conte signed to increase military spending to 2%. These constant, unbearable deceptions. He wasted 200 billion to renovate houses for the rich, he was with Salvini, and now he pretends to be left-wing. Italy has two fundamental problems: Conte and Salvini. They are the equivalent on the right and the left; they are populists who can say and do everything and the opposite, trying to ride the wave of public sentiment with only one goal—their personal gain. They never take responsibility for their actions or for what they have done in the past. It’s always just political opportunism."
These were the words of Carlo Calenda, leader of Azione, on the sidelines of the party congress that concludes today in Rome.
