This is the title of the latest social media post by Azione leader Carlo Calenda. ‘The common matrix of Lega and 5S is indifference that is expressed in transformism – he writes – They can base an electoral campaign on leaving the Euro and then be in government with Draghi. The recipes are similar: anti-Europeanism; little sense of national dignity; yes to subsidies and spending for electoral purposes; no to reforms; incompetence and swearing as a way to get votes. They should be isolated from the right and from the left. To do this, a proportional electoral law is needed. Otherwise, no one will be able to govern this country’.
