Rome, 8 Apr. (LaPresse) – ‘Today in the regional council in Liguria I tried to contribute to the solution of what has now become a real mystery, not the one concerning the size of the hole, or rather the small hole, or rather the big hole in the regional health service. For the moment, this has been consigned to the realm of the unknowable: on 13 March, the Regional Council, in a document, estimated the deficit at 62 million; in the Council, the President gave a substantially and significantly different figure. What I asked President Bucci was very simple: whether this new figure had been communicated to the Ministry of Health. Mr Bucci did not reply and made unpleasant remarks about the cognitive abilities of those who ask questions. If I had wanted to know his opinion about my abilities and those of my colleagues, I would not have asked a question and I would not have wasted the President's time, as he is so busy that he cannot even go to the committee to answer questions about the state of the dam’. This is what Andrea Orlando, former Minister of Labour and regional councillor for the Democratic Party, said in a video of his speech today at the Ligurian regional council on healthcare.
