Rome, May 9 (LaPresse) – “A hypocritical, cynical, and cowardly choice: the government is challenging the law on end-of-life care in Tuscany, while at the same time blocking the law on end-of-life care in Parliament. This is not about propaganda, but about demonstrating seriousness and responsibility by not turning our backs on those who are suffering, regulating end-of-life care in a dignified manner. It is a matter of following up on a ruling by the Constitutional Court on which Parliament is seriously behind schedule. Even the silence of Forza Italia is no longer surprising, as it bows down to Meloni and Salvini every time, especially when it comes to denying rights. They are anything but liberals, like when they say they are in favor of changing the citizenship law but then call for a boycott of the June 8-9 referendum that does exactly that.” So said PD secretary Elly Schlein.
