Milan, 9 May (LaPresse) – ‘On issues related to security and a non-ideological approach to the environment, we will evaluate the various options: we do not rule out having our own candidate.’ This was stated by Action leader Carlo Calenda, on the sidelines of Direzione Nord in Milan, when asked if they would be willing to support Pierfrancesco Majorino as the centre-left candidate in the upcoming municipal elections. ‘It's something we will discuss, we need to be very careful because Milan is a city going through a very complex period, with a huge perceived security issue, on which we need to have very clear positions. Security is the first thing that politics must ensure for citizens, then there is everything else,’ Calenda concluded.
