Venice, 19 May (LaPresse) – "A national healthcare service subject to rising costs and, alongside the problem of resources, in need of rationalisation and upgrading to improve the services offered to citizens. A unified strategy and collaboration between institutions are necessary to overcome intolerable gaps between the various regional healthcare systems and ensure universal coverage and uniform access to services throughout the entire territory of our Republic. These are essential objectives for a national healthcare service." These were the words of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, speaking at the 4th Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces at the Doge's Palace in Venice.
