Trento, 21 May (LaPresse) – In the evening, the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, signed a new decree on the division of powers among provincial councillors. In summary, the role of vice-president has been assigned to Achille Spinelli, who also takes on responsibility for family matters. His department will therefore be renamed the Department of Economic Development, Employment, Family, University and Research, with the vice-president's duties. In essence, according to sources within the majority, after the government challenged the provincial law on third terms, the governor “settled the score” by removing the vice-presidency and the sports portfolio from Francesca Gerosa of Fratelli d'Italia. On the other hand, former Meloni councillor Claudio Cia, who is now in the mixed group but supports Fugatti, already had a motion of no confidence against Gerosa ready. Other changes concern Councillor Mattia Gottardi, who takes on new responsibilities for sport and protected areas, while retaining urban planning, energy and transport. As a result, in the distribution of responsibilities, Councillor Francesca Gerosa retains responsibility for education, culture, youth and equal opportunities.
