Rome, 23 May (LaPresse) – "It's chilling to be here. Rocco Dicillo was young, about to get married, with so many dreams to fulfil. They took everything away from him because he was protecting a hope named Giovanni Falcone. Because he chose to honour the uniform, an idea of the state that does not bow to the mafia and criminals. He was in Capaci, he was a policeman in the escort on that cursed 23 May, when he was killed along with Falcone, Francesca Morvillo, Vito Schifani and Antonio Montinaro." This was written on social media by M5S president Giuseppe Conte, who posted a photo of himself in front of the commemorative plaque in memory of Dicillo in Triggiano. “Today in Triggiano, the town where Rocco was born,” he added, “we wanted to honour him. But it is tomorrow and every day that we will continue our stubborn fight for the whole truth about the massacres and what happened in our country. It is tomorrow and every day that we must close all doors to the mafia and the criminal pollution of our territories and our institutions. We have a moral obligation never to give up”.
