Rome, May 28 (LaPresse) – “The statements made by the Council of Europe’s Commission against Racism and Intolerance, accusing the Italian Police Forces of racism, are simply shameful. Everyone is aware of the numerous instances in which law enforcement officers are attacked — often by irregular immigrants — while performing their duties with courage, dedication, and respect for the law,” wrote Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on social media.
“We will continue to defend those who, every day, ensure the safety of Italian citizens. With pride,” the Prime Minister concluded.
