Cagliari, 29 May (LaPresse) – No intention of stepping down. The president of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, has rejected any possibility of resigning after the ruling that upheld the injunction linked to irregularities in election spending, rejecting her appeal. ‘It's absurd,’ she said in response to questions from journalists during a press conference at Villa Devoto in Cagliari, the regional government's headquarters. ‘I would only resign if I lost the trust of the Sardinian people. In that case, yes, it would be right to question myself. But this,’ she specified, ‘is the only condition. There are no other possibilities.’
