But I have found that every time I invite my left-wing counterparts, they refuse to sit down at the table to debate. It is an attitude that I do not share.’ So said Fedez from the stage of the Forza Italia youth congress currently underway in Rome, alluding to the controversy – including within the party – that preceded his participation. The rapper also spoke about the suburbs, particularly Milan, commenting: ‘The good thing is that there are two years to go before the mayoral election and Sala cannot run again, so this is excellent news,’ because ‘an influencer mayor is not a good idea.’
