Milan, 20 June (LaPresse) – Around 10 metalworkers taking part in a demonstration organised by CGIL, FIM-CISL and UILM this morning, joined by workers from across Emilia-Romagna, “disregarded the instructions” and entered the ring road, “blocking traffic” on the section affected by the march. This was announced by the Bologna Police Headquarters, explaining that the demonstrators will be ‘criminally charged, also in light of the recent legislation introduced by the Security Decree on roadblocks’. The demonstrators, who gathered at around 9 a.m. in numbers estimated at 10,000 at Parco Nord, instead of following the route through the city agreed with the public security authorities, decided to enter the ring road at exit 7 in the direction of San Lazzaro di Savena. The police units deployed ‘to prevent further dangerous situations from arising avoided using force to push back the crowd,’ the police headquarters specified.
