Rome, 20 June (LaPresse) – Elly Schlein's ‘is an evolutionary line, in clear discontinuity with the past, when the PD accepted the logic of war instead of politics. An approach that has allowed armed conflicts to spread. Schlein has started a process, but it is still too slow, because there are those in the PD who are resisting and kicking against it: she must move forward and speed things up.’ So says Marco Tarquinio, a Democratic Party MEP interviewed by La Stampa. ‘The PD, M5S and AVS must move ever closer together, connected to the civic networks that often make the centre-left successful in local politics. The alternative government must also be built on policies of peace, pointing in a different direction, one that does not lead to a war economy.’
