Milan, 6 July (LaPresse) – "Frankly, I don't see anything new that came out yesterday. The government has explained from the outset that it has made a commitment to its voters on constitutional reform and has never considered changing the text‘ and ’at the moment, no further strike is being considered". This was stated by the president of the National Magistrates Association (ANM), Cesare Parodi, interviewed by Affaritaliani.it, commenting on yesterday's words by Deputy Minister of Justice Francesco Paolo Sisto at the Forum in Masseria, according to whom there is 'nervousness and a moment of difficulty, especially in certain sections of the judiciary, in understanding that there is a Parliament that finally writes laws, including constitutional reforms, without asking permission from either the ANM or the Superior Council. The president of the ANM emphasises: “There has been no real debate on constitutional reform in Parliament, either in terms of timing or content. And this says everything about the government's intentions. We are talking about a constitutional reform that touches the legal heart of the institutions, which has taken place without any real discussion, not with the ANM, but with the opposition parties. We take note of this”.
