Rome, July 11 (LaPresse) – The lawyer representing Lam Magok Biel Ruei, a victim and witness of torture by Libyan general Almasri, has today submitted a request to the Tribunal of Ministers in Rome to access the documents of the investigation involving Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ministers Carlo Nordio and Matteo Piantedosi, and Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano. In recent months, the lawyer had filed a complaint against the government officials for alleged complicity. The request had already been submitted weeks ago, but was rejected by the special tribunal because the lawyers of the accused had not yet reviewed the case documents. "Given that, according to press sources, the judges authorized the lawyers of the accused to access the case files, I have renewed the request this morning," explained attorney Francesco Romeo.
