Rome, 17 July (LaPresse) – "My position is the same as it has always been in these cases: I think the judiciary should take its course. As for the mayor, I have never been convinced that a notice of investigation automatically leads to resignation. I believe these are decisions that the mayor must make based on his ability, in this scenario, to govern in the best possible way. I do not change my position based on the political affiliation of those under investigation." This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in an interview with Tg1, responding to a question about the urban planning investigation in Milan involving Mayor Beppe Sala.
