Rome, July 18 (LaPresse) – The reform of honorary magistrates is “one of the pieces of a broader effort the government is undertaking to reform the Italian justice system, to put an end to the distortions we’ve witnessed over the past decades, and to combine necessary guarantees with fairness and faster trials.” This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a video message sent to the 'Magistracy and Reforms' conference organized by Federmot, the Federation of Honorary Magistrates of the Court.
“Italy,” she emphasized, “deserves a fairer justice system, one closer to its citizens and to businesses. This is a commitment our Government has made and fully intends to honor, because we are people of our word and we aim to leave behind a better Italy than the one we inherited.”
