Milan, August 5 (LaPresse) – "I am a bit shaken, obviously the situation is not pleasant. But in the end, passion and the desire to work prevail, so we move forward with intensity," said Milan's mayor, Beppe Sala, in an interview with Rtl 102, regarding the urban planning investigation involving him.
He added that he found out about being under investigation "at 10 p.m. from a phone call from the director of Corriere della Sera who told me, 'Tomorrow we write about this.' It's clear someone had already told the journalists."
The mayor then remarked, "But this is not an unusual situation, it always happens. In my opinion, in a democratic country this should not happen, but it is accepted. So, despite the bitterness, things are as they are."
