Rome, August 13 (LaPresse) – "What happened in Milan is unacceptable. Four minors, already known for previous offenses, ran over and killed an innocent woman. And what happens? They are returned to the same families who clearly failed (or refused) to educate them," wrote Roberto Vannacci, deputy secretary and MEP of the League, on social media.
"We cannot keep turning a blind eye for fear of being accused of ‘prejudice’," he added. "The truth is that there are family units and social contexts where crime is tolerated, if not outright encouraged. In such cases, social services must act firmly, without excuses and without ideological fears: those children must be removed from environments that condemn them to repeat the same crimes and be given a chance to build a different future."
"Enough with the hypocrisy, enough with misplaced compassion. Those who live in Italy must respect the law and take responsibility. Otherwise, they cannot expect to raise their children undisturbed, at the expense of everyone’s safety."
