Milan, 16 August (LaPresse) – ‘I believe that a step forward has been taken towards peace, there is still much work to be done and the Italian government supports President Trump's action and the work of the United States, but at the same time we are ready to actively collaborate, together with European countries, in the organisation of a summit to be attended by Trump, Zelensky and Putin’. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Speciale Tg4, after the summit in Alaska between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. ‘Yesterday we saw a light at the end of the tunnel,’ Tajani added, reiterating Italy's willingness to host a future trilateral meeting between the United States, Ukraine and Russia.
