Rome, 4 September (LaPresse) – "Professionals play a fundamental role in Italy's recovery. This government has always recognised their unique nature and has today chosen to approve a package of measures that has been awaited for years and has one fundamental objective: to promote the economic, cultural and social value that the world of freelance professionals brings to our nation. These measures are the result of fruitful discussions with professionals and represent a further step forward, as they aim to enhance the various professional fields, adapting sector-specific laws to changes in society, simplifying and reducing bureaucracy in processes, strengthening training programmes, facilitating access and increasing attractiveness." This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, explaining that 'the Council of Ministers has approved three draft enabling laws – one general and two specific ones dedicated to the healthcare and legal professions – linked by a common denominator: to restore proper recognition to a category of workers that has been neglected for too long and even considered second-class. The Council of Ministers has also begun examining the bill on chartered accountants and accounting experts. Millions of men and women who, with their skills and specialisations, play a central role in the lives of citizens, families and businesses'. “I would like to thank all the ministers who have worked on these measures and who have made it possible to fulfil another important point in the centre-right government's programme,” concluded the Prime Minister.
