Rome, Sept. 29 (LaPresse) – “The outcome of the vote in the Marche rewards continuity with the outgoing presidency of Acquaroli. We offered the citizens of the Marche a serious alternative proposal to bring about change,” said M5S President Giuseppe Conte, who added: “We must acknowledge that this proposal did not convince the majority of voters, and we must also recognize the significant drop in turnout— a very worrying figure that undermines the quality of our democracy at its roots and should prompt deep reflection. I would like to personally thank Matteo Ricci, who committed himself fully to making this new political project known. I also thank the voters who placed their trust in us, and my community, which faced a demanding journey with great responsibility. I wish Francesco Acquaroli the best of luck in his work, hoping that in this second term he will deliver a regional policy that lives up to the expectations of the people of the Marche, in the common interest.”
